Parenting fail LOLZ!

When you have more than one kid, particularly if they're the same gender, you're constantly mixing up their names. I don't care who you are or how perfect a parent you think you are (you're not) you're still doing it.

I have never said their names here before, and I won't now, but let's just say that just a minute ago I yelled the following to just the one child:

"BAKE!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING????"

You should change their names to Bake. I've accidentally called my wife by my daughters name. But she was being especially childish at the time.
I now call everyone "Honey" it's way easier.

My mother used to consistently call me by our dog's name. Might have been OK if the dog was "Emma" or something like that. But the dog was male. And named Scruffy.

My mother has called me by my brother's name quite often. It seems to be a universal fail.

I try to just call them both "Bud" And now I also call my cats "Bud."

Ditto on the parent calling the child (my brother, not me) by the dog's name. Ours was "Muttley."

(And I guess that I need not have apologized yesterday for calling your son the wrong name....)

My grandfather had 6 kids. The girls he called "Killikook" and the boys he called "Budge-a-boo".
His wife's name was Francis, he called her Elizabeth.

yeah, just get a universal nickname. At home, we're all called "jewels".
